Funded by the British and Foreign Schools Society, Mukunwa Primary School was renovated in 2017. 

Thanks to a crowdfunding campaign and the commitment of 12 generous donors a pre-primary teacher and assistant were appointed in 2018.

The new classroom was opened in the summer and the children are now enjoying the education they deserve in a stimulating and vibrant learning environment.

Mkunwa has 71 pre-primary children and 583 primary children enrolled at the school.
