Mbuo primary school was renovated at the end of 2016 thanks to a grant from The Marr Munning Trust. 

Mbuo pre-primary opened in 2017 thanks to the support of the Scott Bader Commonwealth Fund.

Mbuo has 83 pre-primary children and 469 primary children enrolled at the school.
