Nick Cusack served in the Royal Marines for 30 years, which took him around the globe including a tour in southern Africa.  After leaving, he spent 8 years in industry with a Dutch multi-national traffic company.

Nick has been a Governor at St Osmund’s Primary School where he first encountered the work of EdUKaid and has seen the charity develop over the years.  Nick is currently a Trustee of Salisbury Street Pastors and was delighted when asked to join the team at EdUKaid.

I am an EdUKaid trustee because in a simple and highly cost-effective way, I see EdUKaid empowering the local community to improve and educate their children, who are so keen to learn and make their lives better. I am proud to be part of the team.

Going the extra mile for EdUKaid

In 2021 Nick ran the Virtual London Marathon for EdUKaid and raised over £1,000 which, with Gift Aid, will fund a pre-primary class for an entire year.  Nick describes himself as a 'reluctant runner' and, after his 2 previous marathon's had vowed never to run another!  this just goes to show that, knowing the difference you can achieve is a great motivator.
