Wardour Catholic Primary enjoyed the autumn leaves on their Walk for Chalk

Pupils at Wardour Catholic Primary School donned their wellies and coats on a sunny Thursday last week to take part in a sponsored Walk for Chalk for EdUKaid, raising money for their partner school in Tanzania, Namgogoli Primary.

The pupils from Reception to Year 6 had lots of fun rambling through the autumn leaves around Wardour and walked a whopping 160 miles collectively. They managed to raise an incredible £120 which will enable EdUKaid to send 4 big boxes of chalk to Namgogoli Primary.

Without chalk, it becomes very difficult for teachers at Namgogoli to deliver lessons to their 690 pupils, so the chalk from Wardour will be used every day to help pupils to learn and develop skills such as reading and writing more quickly.

Thank you Wardour for your very kind and enthusiastic efforts!
