Pupils, staff and families from John Harrison C of E Primary School raised an incredible £1,215 for EdUKaid through a sponsored Colour Run as part of their end of term activities.

Having set out the course in the school grounds, teachers were primed at every corner with squeezy bottle to spray the children as they ran by with the colourful powder paint.  The children and staff were having so much fun that their many parents made a donation so that they could have a go too.  A school representative told us "laughter echoed around the field and it was wonderful to see so many people from our community taking part"

Pictured below with the School Business Manager Ann Skipworth, EdUKaid Ambassador Matt Hammond also ended up covered in powder!

One parent said "I was extremely dubious and only took part for my girls, (who have both thoroughly enjoyed today) however I really enjoyed it too so thank you".

The money raised will fund the salary of the pre-primary teacher and most of the teaching assistant’s salary at John Harrison's link school Mitengo Primary for the whole of 2023 providing 157 children with an education – what an amazing gift.  EdUKaid employ these teachers as the school does not have enough staff to teach early years – without this the children wouldn’t access any education until 7 years of age.
