EdUkaid is really excited to announce the launch of our new Pre-primary Improvement Project funded through a 2 year grant from the British and Foreign Schools Society.

Modelled on our 15 successful pre-primary classes and delivered by our experienced team, the new Project will train 174 government teachers across 87 schools in the Municipal and Rural Mtwara Districts to deliver an equitable, child-centred, play-focused early years education based on the Montessori approach.

Working with parents and members of the local communities, the project will also support schools to create stimulating, age appropriate classroom environments and resources using locally sourced and freely available materials and train parent volunteers to support classroom activities.

This project will ensure that over 6,500 of the most disadvantaged children with the basic skills they need at pre-primary level to improve school readiness and learning outcomes so that they have the opportunity to achieve their full potential.
