Tristan Horton Tristan has joined EdUKaid as a volunteer for the brand new marketing and communications team to complement his Master’s in International Development with Conflict and Humanitarian Action. Formerly, Tristan graduated with a 2.1 (BA, Hons) in Politics and International Relations from the University of Bath. During this time, he volunteered with the British Red Cross as part of the fundraising and administration team, raising awareness of global humanitarian crises, such as children’s sanitation in Sub-Saharan Africa. Combined with Tristan’s passion for travel and cultural experience, this shaped his concern for international development, and the welfare of disadvantaged children. As a result, EdUKaid’s ambition of entitling every child to education regardless of their societal status, is a principle that Tristan strongly associates with. By creating enhanced teaching and learning facilities, EdUKaid hands the power back to local communities in advancing the lives of Tanzanian children. Tristan hopes to share these beliefs in the course of developing awareness and knowledge of the charity’s vision to an even wider audience.
