Nicole has recently joined EdUKaid as a Finance and Communications Volunteer, complementing her MSc in International development with social justice and sustainability at the University of Bath. She has also spent the past year working as the group facilitator at the Vertically Integrated Co-creation Projects, where she led a decolonisation project alongside established academics, artists, and students.

Prior to working here at EdUKaid, Nicole graduated with a 1st class honours in Philosophy and Sociology from the University of Southampton. Alongside her undergraduate degree, she has worked on various student projects covering topics such as animal welfare, human rights and sustainable development. Nicole has also completed internships with global education initiatives as a grant researcher and writer in the past. These experiences fostered her passion for International development, social justice, and inclusive education.

Nicole believes that every child deserves the right to quality education, and she was drawn to EdUKaid’s community-led, holistic, and inclusive approach that addresses the structural barriers to education that many children face in Tanzania. Nicole will be working alongside our committed communications and finance team, by helping to find eligible grants for us, publishing blogs, and producing new content on all of our social media platforms, so keep watching this space!
