After graduating with Joint Honours in English Literature and Economic History from the University of Nottingham, Jane Talbot went on to study for a Postgraduate  Certificate in Education at Manchester University.

Jane taught in primary schools in Greater Manchester, Devon and Wiltshire, and worked with the South Wiltshire Special Needs Support Team.  Following a Master’s Degree in Language for Education from Southampton University, Jane became Senior Lecturer in Language Study and Children’s Literature at Westminster College, Oxford, and then Head Teacher of St Martin’s Primary School in Salisbury.

Since retirement from St Martin’s in 2007, Jane set up and ran the Head Teacher Support Service in Wiltshire, and then returned to her roots as a special needs teacher at Chafyn Grove School for several years.  Jane now enjoys worldwide travel, and attending concerts across a very wide range of music.  She became a Trustee of EduKaid in 2011.

I am an EdUKaid Trustee because this is a small charity with a very big heart, making transformational changes to the life chances of hundreds of children in this part of Tanzania.
