Ewan has recently joined EdUKaid as a Marketing and Communications volunteer and will be working with other volunteers to promote EdUkaid through social media as well as other forms of communication.

Ewan’s passion for empowering others

Ewan previously graduated with a 2.1 (BA,Hons) in History and Politics from the University of Exeter. While studying for his undergraduate degree, he volunteered as a Social Secretary for a university society in which he planned and organised fundraising events for local charities. This role, along with being a student representative, inspired Ewan’s passion for empowering others through learning and furthered his understanding of the necessity of education in developing communities.

EdUKaid’s vision resonates deeply with Ewan’s beliefs

While living abroad, Ewan developed a strong belief in the importance of learning in the lives of every child. Realising that many local children were not offered the same privileged education that he was, Ewan decided that he would support children less fortunate than himself by utilising the skills he was taught through his own education. Consequently, EdUKaid’s vision of a world where every child has access to the education they need to realise their full potential resonates deeply with Ewan’s goals and beliefs.

During his time working with EdUKaid, Ewan aims to learn more about the value of sustainability in providing lasting meaningful solutions to educational issues and empowering local actors.
