Christina joined EdUKaid in July 2022 as Fundraising and Marketing Coordinator with responsibility for overseeing a variety of fundraising streams as well as marketing communications.

Background

Christina came to EdUKaid after 8 years teaching in primary schools in the UK, in both the West Midlands and the South East. During her years spent in the classroom, she developed a strong belief that every child should have access to a high-quality education and the chance to fulfil their potential, regardless of their individual circumstances. Her aim is to channel this passion into assisting EdUKaid to provide such opportunities to empower children through learning, both now and in the future.

In addition to teaching, Christina has also spent several years working as a fundraiser for children’s charities, specialising in individual and community giving. This experience has given her an understanding of the power of giving and the difference it can make to people. She is keen to apply this knowledge to help further EdUKaid’s mission to make lasting changes to the lives of children and empower them to improve their life’s circumstances.

“I believe that access to quality education should be a fundamental human right. The power education has to change the course of a person’s life is unparalleled, opening up a world of possibilities. And collectively our society is richer for it.”
