20for20 FAQs

Here are our frequently asked questions for our 20for20 fundraiser.

How do I start?

To get started, the first thing to do is take a look at our fundraising guide which will guide you through the process. If you feel you need any more help and support, please do get in touch by emailing us at [email protected].

Do we need to tell you what we’re planning?

Not necessarily, but we’d love to know! Contact us directly at [email protected] or tag us on social media and let us know what you’ve got planned. Use the hashtags #20for20 and #tolearnistolive.

I want to take part but I’m not particularly athletic. Is this challenge for me?

In short – yes! We want everyone to feel they can get involved, so we’ve deliberately planned a challenge that is inclusive and diverse. High adrenaline levels are optional! Put simply, what you do is up to you. For more ideas about possible activities, download our guide.

I’m worried that I won’t be able to raise much money. Should I still get involved?

Don’t worry – every little helps! It doesn’t matter whether you raise £10 or £1,000, we appreciate everything that our supporters do for us. Every penny goes towards creating a brighter future for children in rural Tanzania. And remember - the first £5,000 raised will be doubled by match funding!

I've seen that the first £5,000 raised will be doubled - what does this mean?

Quite simply, it will be match funded from a funding pot. This means that every time someone donates a £1 to the campaign, that amount will be matched from the match funding pot. So every £1 will be doubled to £2, which means your efforts are worth twice as much!

I’ve never fundraised before and it’s a bit intimidating. How do I do it?

Don’t worry – we’re here to guide you through the process! If you’re feeling uncertain, take a look at our fundraising guide which is full of tips and advice to help you along the way. And if you’re still unsure, drop us an email at [email protected].
