  1. What We Do

What We Do

We work directly to address the Sustainable Development Goals and children’s right to education, working closely with communities to support local schools and preschools. Our work is research-led, evidence based and rigorously evaluated through pilot schemes and community inspired projects.

We believe every child deserves an education

The people of Mikindani are struggling every day to get their basic needs met. Providing an education for their children is incredibly difficult, but the projects that EdUKaid are running help transform lives.

Our work started off with just sponsoring a child, but we soon realised that there were many other areas that needed nurturing to close the loop in terms of children dropping out of school, lacking ambitions and being able to care for their families whilst still receiving an education.

Our projects tackle the most pressing areas that relate to children's education. Because of the way communities operate interconnectedly, issues such as food availability, women's ability to work and earn for their families, as well as breaking through the barriers for disabled children into education, all impact on a child's life chances in education.

Looking at the wider picture allows us to support more children to receive the education they deserve. With your support we can continue to give more children the education to step out of poverty.
